Dylan Brock - dylan (at) jumberlackmedia (dot) com
Artistic Manager

Dylan Brock graduated from Mona Shores High School with Honors at the tender age of 16. His senior year at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Patricia O’Dowd asked him to write a novel for independent study, which he completed in two months. He had a 4.0 in his major of Creative Writing. After graduating in 2003, he took a year off to apply to 12 MFA programs and chose Hunter College in New York City. There he completed a novel written around sixteen sets of song lyrics, on which received a grade of A+ from his thesis advisor, two-time Booker Prize winning novelist Peter Carey. He worked two three month terms as an intern at the Paris Review and was awarded a Hertog Fellowship to work with novelist Kathryn Harrison, all in 2005. In addition, he played CBGB’s and Northsix as both a solo artist and with a full backing band. He has recorded over one hundred original songs. Since graduation from the Master’s program, he has been working full time to make Jumberlack Media a successful company.

Evan Papp - epapp (at) jumberlackmedia (dot) com
International Agent

Evan has been an ex-pat in Zambia for the last two and a half years working with the United States Peace Corps. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2001 with a degree in political science and philosophy. He flirted with the idea of obtaining a law degree in music business upon graduation. To get experience in legal proceedings, he law clerked in Chicago for a year from 2001 through 2002. But after filing summons, transcribing appeals and responses, and researching court cases he knew he needed to broaden his provincial horizon. He then traveled around the US and Western Europe for the next year and a half before settling into his job in sub-Saharan Africa.

Being an avid music lover and musician, Evan has found himself in the company of hip hop stars, musicians, and DJs from around Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. Having identified a potentially lucrative music business in the developing world’s emerging market, he linked up with Jumberlack Media to assist underrepresented international music stars to showcase and distribute their sounds in North America.
